1. How do I leave a review?

We’re genuinely excited that you want to share your experience and help the hair loss and hair thinning community! Leaving a review is easy. Simply log in to your account, find the product, service, or business that you want to review, and click on the “Write a Review” button. Share your thoughts, rate the product, service, or business, and voila! Your valuable insights will help others on their hair care journey. Trustedhair is not a pre-moderated platform, as such make sure your review is family friendly and in line with our Community Guidelines.

If you can’t find the product, service, or business that you are looking for, feel free to add them by selecting either “Add a Business” or “Add a Product or Service“.

Only registered users may leave a review, as this ensures reviews are from authorized users, and reduces the risk of false or inappropriate reviews. We don’t accept anonymous feedback in an effort to ensure fairness and prevent any purposeful manipulation of a product, service, or business’s rating.

2. Can I edit or delete my review?

Absolutely! Your opinions are important and we believe in giving you full control. Simply log in to your account, go to the “My Reviews” section, and you’ll find options to edit or delete your reviews.

We want your reviews to reflect your honest and complete experiences, so feel empowered to update them as needed. We understand that some solutions can evolve over time, and we appreciate you taking the time to revisit and update your reviews as your experience evolves.

3. Are my personal details visible to others when I leave a review?

Only your username, profile picture, hair condition and reviews will be visible. We understand that everyone’s hair care journey is unique and that comfort levels with sharing may vary. Feel free to use an anonymous username and even choose a character image if you prefer to keep your identity private.

When choosing your profile picture, we do encourage our community to use photos of their hair condition (it does not need to show your face), as this helps showcase the diversity and size of our hair loss or hair thinning community, fostering a supportive environment for all.

4. Why do you ask us about our hair condition?

We recognize the incredible diversity of hair conditions- understanding your condition not only helps us tailor recommendations for you, but it also helps us share what works well for you with others who share your condition. A solution that works for a hair condition is more likely to work well for others with the same condition. It’s all about sharing insights to make our community’s hair care journey more personalized and effective.

5. I have ‘alopecia’, but I can't find it listed under 'Hair Condition’?

Alopecia is a term that broadly refers to hair loss, and it’s not a specific diagnosis. We suggest seeking professional guidance to pinpoint the specific type of alopecia you may have, this can help you better understand and explore solutions tailored to your condition. In the meantime please select ‘other’. 

6. How do you make sure reviews are reliable?

Ensuring trustworthy and honest reviews is our top priority. Users need to sign in, and each email is linked to a unique account, preventing the risk of inappropriate setups. Additionally, users can only leave one review per year, per individual product, service, or vendor, to maintain fairness and prevent intentional rating influence. We don’t accept anonymous feedback in an effort to prevent any purposeful manipulation of a product, service, or businesses rating.
